چکیده

The existing multilevel inverter (MLI) has problems such as a large number of devices, complex structure, and voltage stress the semiconductor. These shortcomings are not conducive to modularization, high efficiency miniaturization inverter. Therefore, topology extended switched capacitor utilizing single power supply is proposed. In which, used virtual supply, through switching control strategy, capacitors reasonably combined, then output can be acquired. proposed mainly following advantages. Firstly, it expanded further increase levels. Secondly, structure basic circuit in simple, which reduce devices when same. Thirdly, terminal H-bridge for polarity conversion eliminated topology, beneficial total standing peak inverse voltage. an opportunity application medium provided. Additionally, inherent self-balancing capability eliminate additional balancing algorithms, therefore, modulation strategy simplified. Finally, correctness effectiveness verified by extensive simulation experimental results carried out on 13-level

Grid Integration of a Single-Source Switched-Capacitor Multilevel Inverter with Boosting Capability

This paper investigates the connection of a single-phase multilevel inverter structure to an existing power grid. The applied voltage source inverter is able to generate a near sinusoidal voltage waveform with an amplitude six times the input voltage by using a single DC input power supply. A proportional-resonant (PR) controller regulates the injected current into the grid. While the EPLL is u...

Transformer-based Single-source Multilevel Inverter with Reduction in Number of Transformers

Single-source binary hybrid multilevel inverters with cascaded transformers have a bulky transformer connected to their main H-bridge cells in each phase. This bulky transformer has been eliminated in this work without any effect on operation and modulation strategies. The proposed topology has significant advantages from view point of dimensions and number of transformers, design of transforme...

High-Frequency AC Power Distribution System with a Cascaded Multilevel Inverter Based on Switched-Capacitor

The increase of transmission frequency reveals more merits than lowor medium-frequency distribution among different kinds of power applications. Highfrequency inverter serves as source side in highfrequency ac (HFAC) power distribution system (PDS). However, it is complicated to obtain a highfrequency inverter with both simple circuit topology and straightforward modulation strategy. A novel sw...

A New Single-phase Symmetrical Cascade Multilevel Inverter with Low Number of Power Switches

In this paper a new 5-level single phase symmetrical cascade multi-level inverter is proposed. The proposed topology contains combination of unidirectional and bidirectional power switches based on output voltage level number. The number of power switches and withstanding voltage of powers witches were reduced related to the other topologies. This configuration can be extended to the n-level in...

A Developed Asymmetric Multilevel Inverter with Lower Number of Components

In this paper, a new configuration for symmetrical and asymmetrical multilevel inverters is proposed. In asymmetric mode, different algorithms are suggested in order to determine the magnitudes of DC voltage sources. The merit of this topology to the conventional symmetric and asymmetric inverters is verified by the provided comparisons. This topology uses a lower number of power electronic dev...
